Measuring the voltage on an ac power adapter?
I want to use a power adapter instead of (4) d batteries. When I measure right off the machine the reading is 5.9v. When I measure a 120 ac input to 3.7 dc output adapter the reading is 8.3v. A 6 volt output ac adapter reads 9.4v Will the 6 volt adapter ruin my machine ?
Angela has it right.
The voltage should be read while hooked up to the load.
