How much do auto insurance companys pay for neck and back injuries in an rear end accident?
Couple weeks ago me and my family was sitting at an stop light and this lady ran right into the back of us.I was the back seat passanger so i felt all the inpack and i didnt have my sit belt on (im over 18) so my head hit the sit really hard(head aches now) and bad neck pain which is whiplish….My mom hit her head also on the sit belt holder u no above ur head….my dad was fine he was the driver…my dad got an lawyer to handle our case she has been sendin us to an Chiropractic and also she wants us to see another doc for pain meds…..we went str8 to the er in the ambulance….I no our med bills are gone be super high….whats an estimated price for all this….or how much you think it would be if we just settled….
It matters WAY MUCH, which state you are in, and exactly what your injuries are.
You’re going to have a hard time pinning them on the head bit, as that’s YOUR fault. Whiplash is minor, and will self resolve in six weeks, even with absolutely no treatment at all.
You haven’t mentioned any serious injuries. My guess is, your going to end up screwed by your lawyer – you *might* get all your “sky high” medical bills paid, but by the time the lawyer takes her cut, you won’t have enough left to pay them off.
The insurance companies are wise about shady lawyers, artifically inflating medical bills with unnecessary ambulance rides, months of chiro visits three times a week, all kinds of MRI’s and medical testing to try to FIND something wrong. I think YOU are going to get taken to the cleaners on this.
